Johnny Sexton and Mace launch Right Options campaign for healthier living

Mace has again joined forces with brand ambassador, Johnny Sexton, to encourage shoppers to try something new and make a change to their lifestyles and live healthier by taking the Right Option when it comes to our health and wellness.

Aiming for a balanced lifestyle to help lead a healthy life is something Mace and Johnny are passionate about, and Mace Right Options is a programme that promotes healthy options, healthy eating habits and exercise  – both physical and mental. 

The message from Johnny and Mace is that it is never too late to start something new and, through a new series of three videos featuring Mace brand ambassador, Johnny Sexton entitled Mace Right Options with Johnny, Mace is encouraging people to pursue new passions and hobbies. 

Mace Right Options 

The series is based on the premise of Johnny pushing himself out of his comfort zone and trying new things. 

The first video, released on 6 January,  sees our hero work with certified meditation trainer, Sinead Mooney in a meditation class. 

In video two, Johnny takes part in his first ever guitar class with Gordon Leary, one of Ireland’s premier session guitarists and music educators.

In video three, Johnny learns about food labels, highlighting the importance of nutrition in sustaining long-term health and well-being and he joins nutritionist Laura Kealy in the kitchen as they discuss how healthy cooking promotes creativity and can serve as a therapeutic outlet.

“The start of a new year offers us all a great opportunity to start afresh and set out our goals and aspirations for the year ahead,” said Johnny Sexton.

Sexton noted that he is very proud to work with Mace on this initiative as “we can all benefit from taking a little time to assess our lifestyles and try something new to help improve our health and wellbeing. Small changes can help so much, and I hope these videos help people take the Right Option.” 

Role model

“We have been very fortunate to have Johnny as a Mace brand ambassador since 2018 and he is a wonderful role model for children and adults alike and is absolutely aligned with our principles and ambitions as a brand,” said Keith Crawford, sales director, Mace.

The series of three videos will be released over the course of January, will be available on key social media and digital platforms and will be supported by a strong social media and in-store advertising campaign. 

A competition to win a session with each of the experts that appear in the video series will be running at the same time for Mace shoppers to enter.
