John West has announced a parternship deal with the GAA that will see the leading fish supplier sponsor nationwide festivals in GAA games this summer.

The John West Féile na nGael and Féile Peile na nÓg are national festivals for gaelic football (men’s and ladies’), handball, hurling and camogie played at U14 level by teams from across the GAA. The company will support the Féiles with a fully integrated marketing campaign, including digital content, social media updates, sampling and experience activity throughout the festivals.

Peter Rooney, John West’s country manager for Ireland, said the company is delighted to announced the three-year deal with the GAA and Féile. “This marks another important step in our renewed commitment to promoting a healthy, well-balanced diet among the Irish population,” Rooney said, “in particular among the teenage generation that will be competing in this superb national festival.”

Similarly, GAA president Aogán O Fearghail said the organisation is equally delighted to welcome John West aboard. “The ethos of Féile Iis to ensure that all players are given the opportunity to play and foster friendships and links with other clubs,” O Fearghail said. “John West and the GAA share a long-term commitment to health, making Féile the perfect vehicle to promote these values at a grassroots level.”
