One of the most anticipated and enjoyable events of the year for James Nicholson Wine Merchants’ staff is the company’s annual tasting; an informal, walk-around tasting, with no knowledge required and no lectures to attend. Open to the public, tickets for the event cost €15.

According to the company, this is one event you don’t need to be a wine expert to enjoy – interest and a bit of enthusiasm will suffice! This year the annual tasting takes place in Dublin on Friday, 6 November in the Banquet Hall in Smock Alley on Exchange Street Lower, D8 from 5pm to 8pm.

Current holders of the International Wine Challenge Regional Wine Merchant of the Year award (an award they have in fact won over 20 times) each member of the JN team is a professionally-trained, passionate wine drinker, who can share their independent and personal selection of wines.

The annual tasting is also an opportunity to meet some of the JN Wine partners and try the wines for yourself – with over 20 winemakers and 100+ wines to test out. A wide range of producers have been confirmed to date, including from France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Lebanon, Portugal, South Africa and Chile.

Tickets are €15 per person and must be purchased in advance from James Nicholson Wine Merchants on www.jnwine.com or by calling Lo-Call 1890 667799.
