Increase in Full Licences in 2011

There was a 1.4 per cent increase in the number of Publican’s Full Licences issued in 2011 from 8,393 to 8,509 but over the last four years the number of such licences issued by the Revenue Commissioners has fallen 9.5 per cent from 2007’s figure of 9,402.

An update on the October figures was provided by the Minister for Finance Mr Michael Noonan in the Dail arising from a question put to him by Deputy Thomas P Broughan on the number of Licence refusals last year (which the Minister was unable to provide).
