The Irish Grocery Benevolent Fund (IGBF) in partnership with the National Lottery, has recently announced that it will be hosting a sports legends lunch, featuring a handful of notable Irish Sports icons.
The event will be presented by none other than Des Cahill, Irish sports commentator and presenter.
Event line-up
The line-up of sports legends begins with former Irish rugby union player Peter O’Mahony, who will be making an appearance at the event.
This will be followed up by former horse jockey Ruby Walsh, who sits among some of the best Irish jockeys in history, with more than 2,500 wins under his belt, and a twelve-time Irish jump jockey champion streak.
Last, but certainly not least, seven-time All-Ireland winner, Paddy Andrews, will be attending the event.
Panel discussion
This group of athletes will all be present in Aviva Stadium on 29 August, with a lunch at 12:45pm, followed by a panel discussion at 2:30pm.
