Did it think of sending over a bottle of Midleton Very Rare as a Royal Wedding Gift to Kate to mark the passing of her maiden name to that of House of Windsor?

Admittedly, Midleton Very Rare would be one ‘d’ short of the Duchess of Cambridge’s former surname, but it would have been a good marketing coup if IDL had sent her over a bottle – even better, if it had matched the contents to the date of her birth.

As a simple marketing ploy it could have been worth an invaluable few lines in the UK press I’d have thought…..
