Off-trade

The promotion also visits Dublin and Cork to recruit Star Pourers to compete in the overall final on October 15th. This will produce a Star Serve champion who will, for the first time in Star Serve history, go on to compete on a global stage in Holland representing their bar and their country.
 
The on-trade initiative – introduced in 2010 to provide training and drive quality back into the lager category in Ireland’s on-trade – celebrates the five steps (Rinse, Pour, Skim, Check, Serve) to the perfect pint of Heineken and rewards leading bar staff with the title of Star Serve champion.
 
The next Star Serve Awards heat will be held in Dublin on Sept 30th and Cork on October 14th where the final ‘finalist’ will be chosen to compete in Cork at the Star Serve finals the next day.
