In his new role, David will report to Alexis Nasard, in the new role of President Western Europe & Chief Marketing Officer.
David will succeed Stefan Orlowski who, last week, was appointed President Americas.

David joined Heineken Ireland in 1988 and held various sales and marketing roles before moving to the Netherlands in 1997 as an International Marketing Manager. In 2000 he was appointed Marketing Director Grupa Zywiec, Heineken’s business in Poland. In 2003, David joined Global Commerce in Amsterdam as Global Portfolio Development Director and in 2007, prior to the acquisition of Scottish and Newcastle, was appointed General Manager of the then standalone Heineken UK business. Following the S&N acquisition, David led the integration of Heineken UK into the larger S&N business in that market.

He returned to Ireland and has been Managing Director at Heineken Ireland since 2009. Under his leadership, the Cork brewery has reinforced its leadership of the key lager market with the Heineken brand commanding in the region of 33% of that market.

David’s successor will be announced in the coming weeks.
