Guinness has topped the debut Brand Finance Ireland 10 report, which names it as the country’s most valuable brand. In its report, Brand Finance reveals that Guinness’ brand value grew 2% to an all-time high of €2.045bn over the past 12 months. This growth cements the iconic stout’s position as one of the top 10 beer brands in the world.

Guinness’ domination can be attributed not only to cherishing tradition, but also to seizing the opportunities presented by the ongoing craft beer revolution,” says Brand Finance’s managing director Simon Haigh. “By prioritising the creation of hip sub-brands like Hop House 13 and investing in marketing campaigns that focus on human stores, Guinness has successfully reached out to younger customers and broader audiences of both genders and a broad age range.”

Jameson Irish whiskey also made the list, at 8th position with a brand value of €768m following a surge of growth in the first half of 2017. Jameson was also placed at 15th place on Brand Finance’s Spirits 50 global standing.
