Group Operating Profit at Heineken NV remains flat in H1
Group Operating Profit at Heineken NV level-pegged at €1.45 billion despite a fall in Group Revenues of 1% on an organic basis in the first half of this year according to Heineken’s Half-Year results, just published.
21 August 2013
Group Revenues fell to €10.1 billion from €10.4 billion for the same period in 2012 and a 3% decline in Group volumes was only partially offset by a 2% increase in Group revenue per hectolitre. However including income from the fully-consolidated Asia Pacific Breweries Group, Group Revenues grew 3%.
Developing markets now comprise half of Heineken’s Group Operating Profits.
The company continues to operate in “a challenging trading environment” according to Heineken’s Chief Executive Jean-Francois Boxmeer, who stated, “Although the volume trends have improved in July with the warm summer weather in Europe, economic conditions in several of our core markets continue to constrain consumer spending”.
