The newest store from the Irish gelato chain Gino’s Gelato has opened its doors in the Crescent Shopping Centre, Limerick.

According to the popular chain, it has something for everyone – whether a traditionalist or a risk taker – with an extensive range of traditional Italian gelato made using 100% organic Irish milk, and several dairy free, vegan friendly sorbets, made from Irish filtered water ‘Fior Uisce’.

Favourites include the multi-award-winning Pistachio flavour, Kinder Bueno and Gino’s Chocolate Oreo Crêpe.

Gino’s Gelato is 100% Irish owned, founded by second generation ice-cream men, Jonathan Kirwan and Anthony Murphy.

This month, the pair are thrilled to launch their 27th store in Limerick, just a couple of weeks after the opening of a new Gino’s Gelato in Grand Canal Square, with the objective to bring the total workforce to over 400 employees by the end of 2021.

MD, co-owner and Limerick native Anthony Murphy said the team were delighted to bring Gino’s Gelato to his home soil.

“A Limerick store has been in our plans for a long time and as a county native I’m very proud to open our 27th store on my home soil,” Murphy said.

“While the past two years have been challenging for Gino’s and many other small Irish businesses, we feel we have adapted very well and have received great support from the communities in which we operate,” he added.

According to Murphy, the company’s aim is to bring their great taste to “every corner of Ireland” with “lots more exciting store openings around the country” in the pipeline for “the coming months.”

Gino’s Gelato currently has locations nationwide including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Wicklow, Waterford, Mayo, Kildare, and Limerick.
