Genius gluten free bread arrives in Ireland
Professionally trained chef and co-author of the award-winning Leith’s Techniques Bible, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, has now launched her range of gluten and wheat free bread throughout the country
11 October 2009
Genius is the first ever fresh gluten and wheat free bread, according to its makers, to “look, taste and feel every bit as good as a freshly-baked traditional loaf.” Following a successful UK launch in May, Genius has now launched in Ireland – available in a brown or white loaf. Medical research shows one in 100 of the Irish population now suffers from coeliac disease, with even more experiencing wheat/gluten intolerance. Genius is the invention of a mother with three young children, two of whom have food allergies. Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne is also a professionally trained chef, having worked at Michelin starred restaurant Bibendum, and co-authored the award-winning Leith’s Techniques Bible. Genius is available from Castle King Services, with a RRP of €4.59.
