Finalists announced in Listowel Food Fair Best Emerging Artisan Food Product 2014

Sponsored by Kerry Local Enterprise Office, the Overall Gold Medal winner will be announced at the Listowel Food Fair 20th Anniversary Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday, 22 November

The five finalists in the prestigious Listowel Food Fair ‘Best Emerging Food Product from an Artisan Producer’ were officially announced today (17 November). This year entries were received from artisan food producers from all over Ireland. The overall Gold Medal winner will be announced by the chairperson of the judging panel, Aoife Hannon, and presented with a prize of a cheque for €1,000 by the sponsor Kerry Local Enterprise Office (formerly Kerry County Enterprise Board).
The winner’s product will also be displayed and sold in Garvey’s SuperValu, Listowel, County Kerry. All other finalists will receive a cheque for €200.
Aoife Hannon, chairperson of the judging panel commented: “This is the tenth year of the Best Emerging Artisan Food Product Awards and all our judges including Angela Sheehan, UCC, were very impressed with the exceptional diversity and standard of entries.”

The overall Gold Medal Winner will be announced at the Listowel Food Fair 20th Anniversary Gala Awards on Saturday, 22 November in the Listowel Arms Hotel, Listowel, County Kerry.
One of Ireland’s most respected businessmen, Denis Brosnan, will also be honoured at the gala awards and presented the inaugural Listowel Food Fair Lifetime Achievement Award 2014 by the chairman of the Listowel Food Fair Committee, Pierce Walsh.
