The third week of Febvreuary started on Monday, 16th  with Jan Konetzki, head sommelier of Gordon Ramsay, London, joining with Febvre Wines to host an enlightening discussion on ‘How to shake up your Wine List’. As 2015 winner of ‘Imbibe Wine List of the Year Award’, he shared this experience with sommeliers and food and beverage managers about knowing your customers and marrying that with bringing personality into the wine list so that you can advise your regular customers informatively on the perfect food and wine match.

ON Tuesday 17th, TV and Michelin Star Chef Enrique Fleischmann from Basque Culinary School cooked some sensational dishes perfectly matched by award-winning wines from Conde De Valdemar. One attendee voiced his satisfaction by saying: “This Febvreuary month has been the best February of my life, thank you.”

On Wednesday 18th, award-winning winemaker, Retamal Marcelo from De Martino, Chile, wowed his audience by bringing them through long lost vineyards which he rediscovered after more than 300 years following 20 years of discovery. He brought them through the journey of rediscovery and they sampled some stunning wines from this interesting terroir, using traditional methods, and these wines will arrive in Ireland during the next few months.
