Experian has announced the appointment of Mark Anderson as head of new business for its Irish operations. With more than 28 years of experience working in sales, Mark joined Experian more than 10 years ago, and since then has been involved with the growth and strategic direction of Experian’s automotive division in the UK with a main focus on sales, people development and providing a best in class client service.

Board changes at Musgrave Group

Musgrave Group announced changes in the group board responsibilities effective from 22 November 2010.

Donal Horgan, managing director of SuperValu and Centra in the Republic of Ireland has been named as managing director of Budgens and Londis based in Great Britain.

Martin Kelleher, managing director of Musgrave Wholesale Partners becomes managing director of SuperValu and Centra in the Republic of Ireland.

Noel Keeley, group human resources director, takes up the position of managing director for Musgrave Wholesale Partners.

Separately, Sharon Buckley, group commercial director, will assume the additional responsibility for Supply Chain across the Group.

Tim Kenny, group finance director will assume the additional responsibility of Business Development across the Group.

Appointments at William Grant & Sons

William Grant & Sons, the Scottish premium spirits business has announced a number of new senior appointments at its recently opened Global Marketing Office in Dublin. Deirdre Clarke and Alison Hunter have been appointed as brand manager and marketing manager respectively for Hendrick’s Gin, while Gemma Adams and Ciara McDevitt join the Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum team as brand manager and marketing manager respectively. All four are based at the new Global Marketing Office at Park West, Dublin.

Deirdre Clarke has over seven years of brand marketing experience and joins from Richmond Marketing, where she was senior brand manager for SAB Miller Brands including Peroni, Pilsner Urquell & Miller Genuine Draft.  She previously worked with Barry Fitzwilliam Maxxium Ireland as brand manager for Remy Cointreau brands, Absolut Vodka and Jagermeister.

Alison Hunter joins with over 12 years of marketing experience gained within a range of industries including blue chip, FMCG and luxury goods. Her previous roles include marketing & PR manager for Paul Sheeran Jewellers, head of marketing for Superquinn, and product group manager for Dairygold.
 
Gemma Adams brings over six years of marketing experience to the Sailor Jerry brand. Gemma joins from First Drink Brands, a wholly owned subsidiary of William Grant & Sons, where she was brand manager for William Grant & Sons’ rum portfolio, including brands such as Sailor Jerry, Mount Gay, Wood’s 100 and OVD.

Ciara McDevitt joins from Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, where she had a variety of roles including senior brand manager for Jameson International, regional manager responsible for the brand development and growth of Jameson Irish Whiskey in France, Belgium and Holland and, most recently regional manager in the US market.
