Colin Byrd and Kevin White of Passage West Eurospar in County Cork took Eurospar Off-Licence of the Year at the third Edward Dillon Eurospar/Spar/Spar Express Off-Licence of the Year Awards in The Stillorgan Park Hotel in Dublin.

30 finalists were short-listed from around the country.

Ger and Denise Canning of Spar Express on Pearse St, County Sligo, took the award for Spar/Spar Express Off-Licence of the Year 2010 and for the second year in a row the Spar Wine Store of the Year 2010 was awarded to Mary Glennon, Spar, Tonlegee Road, Coolock, Dublin 5.

All three winners will enjoy a trip to Cape Town, South Africa, with the opportunity to visit the Nederburg Winery and vineyards, meet the winemakers and taste the latest vintages while enjoying the sights and sounds of Cape Town. 

Each finalist also wins an overnight trip to Sitges, near Barcelona, where they have the opportunity to visit the Casa Bacardi Academie. For the first year, the runners-up will receive prizes with third placed receiving a case of Champagne while the second placed prize consists of a trip to a European city.
