Eurospar Skerries will soon be offering their customers the opportunity to win a brand-new Renault Zoe Electric Car, courtesy of Electric Ireland and BWG Foods, owners and operators of the Eurospar brand in Ireland.

The prize, sponsored by Electric Ireland and won by Eurospar Skerries at the annual BWG Foods’ Trade Show, was the coup de grace at the event; the largest food industry event of its kind in Ireland which, now in its tenth year, was hosted virtually for the first time this year.

The two-day event brought together more than 200 of Ireland’s leading indigenous and multinational suppliers spanning categories including health and wellness, fresh food, pre-prepared meals, chilled produce, beverages and confectionery, showcasing key offers to over 1,000 retailers, with sales generated via a dedicated online purchasing platform.

Eurospar Skerries retailer Shane Bowe was thrilled to win the car and said: “We are delighted to have won this fabulous prize and I am really looking forward to ultimately presenting it to one of our customers. We were over the moon to receive the news that our supermarket had won the prize and I want to thank BWG Foods and Electric Ireland for the opportunity.”

Eurospar managing director Malachy Hanberry said: “I would like to thank Electric Ireland for providing the 100% electric Renault Zoe 192 to Eurospar Skerries, we really appreciate their support. I am sure that Shane and his team will devise a fun and exciting competition for their customers to be in with a chance to win this fabulous car.”
