Erdinger Oktoberfest launches a two-week celebration in George’s Dock

A packed tent was present for the launch of this year’s Erdinger Oktoberest, opened once again by ‘Mr Erdinger’ himself Werner Brombach.

The scene at Geroge’s Dock in the IFSC was somewhat drier than last year (though that was not to last) and by the time Herr Brombach stood up to launch it, the festival was already well underway.

Oktoberfests are becoming an increasingly common feature of the Irish licensed landscape around this time of the year which illustrates the growth in appreciation for German beers here.
