Dunnes Stores veteran Marie Dowdall laid to rest
Marie Dowdall, a 40-year veteran of Dunnes Stores, passed away recently after a short illness.

The directors of family-owned Dunne Stores have paid tribute to Marie Dowdall, a buyer with the company for more than 40 years, who passed away earlier this month after a short illness.
“We have lost an amazing person, who dedicated more than 40 years of her life to Dunnes Stores working with three generations of the Dunne family,” Dr. Anne Heffernan wrote in a company-wide email to staff, “working with three generations of the Dunne family.
“Those who were lucky enough to work with Marie, and those who trained under her, will know she was a skilled professional, kind and loyal to Dunnes Stores and to everyone in the company. Marie was as passionate and driven about the company as she was the first day she started,” Dr Heffernan added.
