Dunnes Stores opens new Blackrock store
Food lovers in Blackrock, Co. Dublin have a new food shopping destination in the shape of a brand new Dunnes Stores Food Hall, which opened its doors this week.

Delivering on the premium offering Dunnes Stores has become known for in recent years, the new Dunnes Stores “convenience food hall” in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, has opened its doors. The brand new store, on the site of the former Playwright pub, will be host to a range of artisan Irish food brands including Sheridans Cheeesemongers, Baxter & Green and more. There will also feature Dunnes’ award-winning Simply Better collection, and Dunnes’ in-house Sol Café offering at the new store, which opened its doors this week.
Colm Walker, manager of Dunnes Stores Blackrock said he and the team worked hard to get the store ready for its opening. “My team and I are so proud to be part of this exciting development for Dunnes Stores,” Walker said, “bringing world class food retail to Blackrock while sticking to our promise of better value.
Kevin Sheridan, Managing Director of the Sheridans Cheesemongers stated that he and the brand remain committed to sourcing the highest quality artisan products. “Our collaboration with Dunnes Stores has allowed us to bring our range of farmhouse cheeses and foods to a much wider audience,” Sheridan said. “We already have many loyal customers from the Blackrock area, so it’s great for us to be able to bring our products even closer to them!”
