Paul Walsh is to step down as Chief Executive of Diageo at the end of June to be replaced by Ivan Menezes, formerly Chief Operating Officer at the drinks giant.

Paul Walsh, who spent 13 years as Chief Executive, will step down from the Diageo Board its AGM in September and will retire from the company on 30th June next year.

Ivan Menezes has been COO at Diageo since March last year, overseeing Diageo’s global commercial activity.
Before this he spent eight years as President and Chief Executive of Diageo North America having joined Diageo in 1997. Prior to 1997 hed worked across a variety of sales, marketing and strategy roles for Whirlpool in Europe, Booz Allen & Hamilton in North America and Nestlé in Asia.

Born in 1959 he’s married with two children.
