Davy Group is first organisation join Cheerios Childline Breakfast 2018

The 2018 Cheerios Childline Breakfast takes place later this month to raise funds for the vital children's charity, and businessses are being encouraged to join in by requesting a fundraising pack and hosting an event. This week, The Davy Group became the first Irish busines sto sign up.

“Wealth management specialists The Davy Group has become the first corporate organisation to sign up for this year’s Cheerios Childline Breakfast, which takes place from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 October.

As ISPCC Childline is celebrating its 30^th birthday this year, the charity is particularly encouraging businesses and corporate groups to take part and raise vital funds for Ireland’s only 24-hour listening service for children. Childline answered over 380,000 calls in 2017.

With registrations closing this Friday, 12^th October, participants can register today at www.childlinebreakfast.ie or Text RISE to 50300 to donate €4*.

Speaking at the announcement HR Director and of Head of CSR at Davy, Joan McGrath said the firm is delighted to hold a Cheerios Childline Corporate Breakfast and raise funds for the ISPCC. “The initiative is a great opportunity for our employees from all departments,” she said, “to gather together and enjoy the most important meal of the day with their colleagues, whilst supporting the invaluable work of the ISPCC.

“I encourage businesses and workplaces across Ireland to register to hold their own breakfast to support Childline, to help them continue to be there and listen to children 24 hours a day,” McGrath said.

Cheerios and Childline are encouraging businesses, community groups, organisations, schools and crèches, to come together to host a breakfast and raise much-needed funds for Childline. Organisers will receive a fundraising pack containing posters, collection boxes and sponsorship cards after registering. Also available are portion packs of Less Than 5% Sugar Oat Cheerios for the breakfast event.

Register today at www.childline.ie or Text RISE to 50300 to donate €4,  of which ISPCC Childline will receive a minimum of €3.60.
