Since it was first held in 1993, Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice has raised more than €32m for hospice care nationwide and served over 16 million cups of coffee. Bewley’s has been the sole sponsor of the event since then, providing fresh coffee for events nationwide, along with marketing support and more.

In recognition of that contribution, Bewley’s has been awarded a Corporate Social Responsibility award at the 2017 All-Ireland Marketing Awards.

“We are absolutely delighted to be presented with the CSR Award at this year’s All Ireland Marketing Awards,” said Mark Saunders, Bewley’s brand director. “We all know people who have been supported, comforted and cared for by hospice services. In 2016, we worked with our marketing partners and local hospices to transform Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice resulting in its most successful year ever.”

This project included a full campaign rebrand, high-profile ambassadors and a renewed media outreach campaign. “All of these new elements yielded improvements in awareness, media coverage, public participation and, most importantly, an increase in funds raised,” Saunders said.

Also nominated in the CSR Award category with Bewley’s were Aldi, Electric Ireland, Applegreen and Irish Life.
