CSNA updates retailers on Targeted Support Payments
CSNA provides an update on Re-turn’s €2,000 Targeted Support Payment, including payment timelines and retailer queries
27 August 2026
The Targeted Support Payment (TSP) is a very positive new support introduced following the Retailer Handling Fee Review.
To ensure eligible retailers receive support as quickly as possible, Re-turn is accelerating payments for sites with qualifying historic anniversary dates.
As a result, some sites received €2,000 for one qualifying annual assessment period, while others received €4,000 for two qualifying periods.
Payments began processing from Friday, 14 August.
Each retailer’s bank and banking cycle may differ, so the date funds arrive in individual accounts will vary.
The CSNA has established a dedicated email address for all queries: tsp@re-turn.ie.
To help it review and respond accurately, each query should include:
- Retailer name and contact details;
- Retailer ID and, where relevant, Premise ID; and
- Full details of the query.

Given the scale of the initial and follow-up payments, some queries will be straightforward, while others may require a more detailed review of individual site data.
Each query will be acknowledged and managed according to the information and validation required.
A new TSP feature is also currently being built for the Retailer Portal.
This will provide retailers with enhanced access to relevant assessment and payment information, including availability data.
Retailers will be notified once this feature is complete and available.
