Convenience Stores & Newsagents Association (CSNA) has received numerous calls from its members expressing concern that their staff are facing verbal abuse from the public due to recent price hikes in petrol and diesel.

In response, the independent body of convenience store retailers and newsagents in Ireland wants to remind members of the two informative posters that illustrate the breakdown earned from these sales.

CSNA ‘want to help the public understand who truly benefits from the recent increases’.

Posters for download and print

You can find the two ‘Don’t blame the retailer’ posters below, which are available for download and print.

CSNA noted that it encourages you to display them at your tills, on your door, or wherever you feel is appropriate.

It’s essential to remind the public not to blame retailers or their staff and to provide a clear breakdown per litre for each fuel type.

CSNA hopes that ‘these measures will help reduce the verbal abuse that some of our members are currently experiencing’.
