“With increasing customer demand for more value-for-money, there has been no increase in price to either the trade or consumer,” stated B&F Managing Director Michael Barry. Following years of persistent brand building, marketing activity and nationwide sampling campaigns, Ireland has become the most important per capita market for Corona Extra in Europe, he stated, adding, “Already available in six-pack and 12-pack in the off-trade, we expect to see increased market share for the brand with more beer for your money when compared to it’s nearest competitors – many of whom have been moving towards a smaller 300ml bottle in order to cut costs.

“We believe this bottle size provides more value to both the customer and trade in these challenging times. That’s why we’ve kept the price the same despite higher duty implications from the increased bottle size.”

Corona Extra is also celebrating it’s 21st Birthday in Ireland this year.
