AB Inbev has warned that “a sizeable proportion” of Corona orders in the UK made between January and March will not be delivered on time due to an increase in demand from Corona’s Mexican brewery which has resulted in bottle shortages.

Here, Corona is supplied by Barry & Fitzwilliam and B&C Chief Executive Michael Barry told Drinks Industry Ireland, "In relation to Corona Extra we have had no problems yet but but we’ve curtailed our promotional activity in June as there’s the possibility of Grupo Modelo not being able to supply all of our June requirements due to unprecedented demand and a shortage of bottles.

"This will have no effect on Corona Light promotional activity,” he added.
