12 June 2009
This year’s Centra Quality Awards, which are independently audited by the Excellence Ireland Quality Association, saw the highest number of awards given to any single organisation in the country; no less than 368 outlets commended for their high standards in quality and hygiene.
Kilmartin’s N6 Centra, Athlone, was awarded the title of Ireland’s Cleanest Foodstore for the second year in a row, the team that was also named Convenience Store of the Year at the Shelflife C-Store 2008 Awards.
Douglas and Rhona Johnston of Wilton Motors Centra, Wilton, Cork, and Cathy O’Leary and Brendan Donoghue, for their five O’Leary’s Centra stores in Dublin, also received Centra Quality Awards on the night.
At the presentation ceremony, Donal Horgan, managing director, Centra, re-affirmed the company’s commitment to invest in excess of €2 million in Centra’s continuing hygiene programme.
This investment and record number of awards demonstrate Centra’s ongoing commitment to rigorous quality measures and the highest of standards.
