C&C volumes up 3.5% in 9 months to December

The C&C Group has described trading here as ‘resilient’ over the third quarter with sales volumes in Q3 maintaining the improvement in market conditions seen in the first half of the year, according to an Interim Management Statement for the period 1st September to 30th November 2013.

Over the nine month period, volumes grew by 3.5% and Net Revenues here grew by 3.7% excluding the Gleeson acquisition.
However in the UK cider volumes fell 13.5% during this time leading to a drop in Net Revenues on a constant currency basis of 17.5% with volumes of Magners down 11% in volume to 30th November 2013.

International volumes grew in the period too, driven by cider and beer growth in Europe as well as some new markets.
