BWG Foods has confirmed a new partnership agreement with Tougher Oil Distribution Limited, to supply eight stores in Kildare, Westmeath, Wicklow, Laois and Carlow. The agreement covers BWG Foods Retail and Wholesale divisions and will see two stores added to the SPAR network and three to the XL network, with the remaining three stores supplied by BWG’s Value Centre cash and carry network as independents.

Confirming the new partnership Willie O’Byrne, managing director, BWG Foods said. "I am delighted to welcome the addition of Tougher Oil and its operations to the BWG group. To be able to utilise our nationwide brand portfolio to offer Tougher a range of solutions to fit their needs is a terrific vote of confidence in our offering at both retail and wholesale levels. We look forward to working with Trevor O’Reilly and all at Tougher to drive their business forward in partnership."

Trevor O’Reilly of Tougher Oil Distribution Limited said: "This new agreement is the culmination of a competitive process which saw us review the retail and wholesale market in Ireland for a partner that could deliver against our ambitions. BWG Foods’ strong portfolio of leading brands and heritage of innovation, in convenience, neighbourhood and forecourt retailing, along with their nationwide supply network, meant it more than satisfied our requirements. We’re confident that today marks the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between Tougher Oil and BWG Foods."
