The Forum provided marketing, economic and motivational tools and insights to help publicans tackle the effects of recession.

The new app, available exclusively to Britvic customers, connects publicans directly with internet-using consumers as a zero-cost and efficient marketing tool to develop and sustain customer loyalty. The Pub Hub app enables them to communicate their in-pub offers and deals to customers who can search by ‘venue’ or even by ‘deal’ and can share these offers and deals with friends online via a range of integrated social media platforms.

The app, available from iTunes, will help publicans drive footfall and grow sales. Events such as barbecues, golf outings, race nights and gigs can also be publicised.

“Today’s Forum and the Pub Hub App demonstrate our commitment to the licensed trade and to the development and implementation of new initiatives for its revitalisation,” commented Finbarr O’Doherty, Director Licensed, Britvic Ireland, at the first of the three Fora held in Dublin, Cork and Belfast.

VFI President Gerry Rafter added, "The Pub Hub App developed by Britvic brings the latest technologies to the licensed trade to help us drive footfall."

And LVA Chairman Enda Keogh noted, "Britvic’s investment in the trade is evident through the Business Success Fora that bring great insight into how we can all improve our licensed premises and customer experiences”.
