Bord Bia has teamed up with the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, seeking applicants for four scholarship prgrammes with a view to developing leadership talent for Ireland's agri-food sector.

Bord Bia and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School are seeking applicants to join one of four scholarship programmes.  The aim of the partnership is to attract and develop leadership talent for Ireland’s agri-food sector. The closing date for applications is 4 March 2019 and programmes start in June.

Successful applicants will undertake in-market projects for selected food and drink companies in one of 15 key international locations, while working towards a UCD Smurfit School MSc in Marketing Practice. Benefits include a substantial tax-free bursary, full tuition fees paid, and access to educators from the world’s leading business schools including Harvard, IMD Business, NYU Stern School of Business and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Michael Murphy, Bord Bia’s organisation & industry talent director, said that fostering talent and developing future leaders is vital to the current success and future growth of the Irish food, drink and horticulture industry. “Through our Scholarship Programmes,” he said, “Bord Bia can ensure that our industry remains future-focused and equipped to address the needs and challenges ahead.

“We look forward to welcoming more ambitious and talented graduates into the Irish agri-food industry in 2019,” he added.
