Bic announces partnership with The Big Grill Festival
With a large number of barbecue enthusiasts expected to attend, Bic says festival sponsorship was 'an obvious move'

Ireland’s leading lighter manufacturer Bic has partnered with the upcoming Big Grill Festival as the official lighter partner for the ‘Pitmasters Competition.’
After the success of The Big Grill Festival 2014, the Dublin-based event returns for a second triumphant year, now featuring Ireland’s first and only USA-style low ‘n’ slow BBQ competition in the Big Grill Pitmasters Competition. In total, 15 teams will compete across the weekend in the effort to secure a place at the infamous Jack Daniels World Invitational Barbecue Championships in Tennessee this October.
With barbecue season well underway, the BIC Megalighter is an essential tool for any budding or experienced outdoor cook at this time of year. So it’s unsurprising then that when the time came to find a sponsor for the event BIC was the obvious choice.

The Big Grill Festival runs from 13 – 16 August at Dublin’s Herbert Park in Ballsbridge. The event is a four-day celebration of barbecuing and features daily grill demonstrations from well-known chefs, cook-offs, live music and lots of mouth-watering food and drink.
