Beam upgrades Shop & Tasting Bar in Kilbeggan Distillery Experience
Kilbeggan Distillery’s new owner Beam Inc has completed an €85,000 major infrastructural investment programme to enhance the Kilbeggan Distillery Experience at the world’s oldest licensed distillery.

The lion’s share of the budget for the 256 year-old Co Westmeath distillery was used to completely remodel the Tasting Bar and Gift Shop areas within the distillery.
Beam’s latest investment there follows the completion of a €70,000 restoration project of the distillery’s iconic waterwheel last September.
“Over the last 18 months, Beam has made a significant investment in the Kilbeggan Distillery with the aim of creating one of the most interactive and visitor-focused attractions in the country,” commented Rachel Quinn, Global Brand Manager for Scotch & Irish, Beam, “In the past year, we’ve seen a 42% increase in visitors who’ve come to see Kilbeggan and the Irish Whiskey distillery process first-hand.”
