To coincide with the Third Anniversary of Malbec World Day – Argentina’s national grape variety - and in association with Wines of Argentina, the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Ireland will host an Argentinian Wine Fair on Wednesday April 17th in the Hilton Hotel at Charlemont Place, Dublin 2.

Sales of Argentinian wine increased by 14.7% MAT to September 2012 in volume, with value sales for the same period increasing by 18.2% according to AC Nielsen.

Nevertheless, total market share for Argentine wines on the Irish market is still relatively low with total case sales of just 91,000 in 2011 or 1% of a nine million case market. But the indications are that Argentina has the potential to increase its market share further in 2013.

To coincide with the Third Anniversary of Malbec World Day – Argentina’s national grape variety – and in association with Wines of Argentina, the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Ireland will host an Argentinian Wine Fair on Wednesday April 17th in the Hilton Hotel at Charlemont Place, Dublin 2.

Twenty three wineries will be represented at the forthcoming ARgintinian Wine Fair on 17th April in Dublin’s Hilton Hotel, offering more than 200 Argentine wines grown from other grapes as well as Malbec.

Trade & press can taste a range of Argentine wines, most of which are currently available on the Irish market. The trade and press tasting will run from 12 noon to 6.00pm (by invitation only).

Participating wineries include: Alta Vista; Andeluna; Apalmanta; Boedga Callia; Catena Zapata; Dona Paula; Domaine Bousquet; Finca Sophenia; La Riojana (seeking representation); Las Moras; Luigi Bosca; Bodegas Lurton; Masi (Argentina); Michel Torino; O. Fournier; Pascul Toso; Bodegas Renacer; Salentein; Santa Ana; Familia Schroeder (seeking representation); Trapiche; Trivento and Familia Zuccardi.
