Applegreen is dropping fuel prices at every Applegreen service station across the Republic of Ireland by 4 cent or more, the forecourt and convenience retailer has announced.

The move came in reaction to the recent drop in crude oil prices, with Applegreen stating it is passing savings directly on to customers.

“We are committed to our customers and to our ‘low fuel prices always’ promise,” said Applegreen Ireland managing director Dáire Nolan, “so we’re delighted we can help our customers’ hard-earned cash go that bit further this summer and share the cost savings of recent lower crude oil prices with them.”

The latest news follows Applegreen’s launch of ‘Fuelgood’ last year, which the retailer says will clean your engine, so it can perform better and take you further, whilst also reducing harmful emissions making it the better choice of fuel for the environment.  This year also saw Applegreen launch the premium fuel range ‘Fuelgood PowerPlus.’

In a press statement, the retailer stressed all Applegreen fuel is tested in Germany in a leading lab that specialises in examining fuel products to ensure it meets the highest industry standards.

As well as lowering fuel prices, Applegreen has a charitable initiative in-store, whereby every time a customer makes a purchase, 1c is donated to the Applegreen Charitable Fund at no extra cost to the customer. In 2018, an impressive circa €750,000 was donated to Irish charities.
