The staff in Aldi stores in Dublin and Cork have taken time out of their days to mark the German supermarket’s 20th anniversary in Ireland. Aldi first opened its doors in Dublin’s Parnell Street and the Westside Retail Park in Cork on 4 November 1999, and staff in both stores have marked the occasion.

Since those early days, Aldi has opened 139 stores in Ireland, capturing 12.6% of the Irish grocery market.
