Absolut vodka is to sponsor the Dublin Fringe Festival for the second year running, investing €750,000 in a fully-integrated marketing campaign.
Absolut Fringe 2009 proved a great success for the brand, winning it ‘Best Sponsorship of an Event’ in the Allianz Business to Arts Awards.
“The sponsorship worked really well for us,” Richard Brickley, Vodka Category Marketing Manager at distributors IDL Pernod Ricard, confirmed, “Last year 72 per cent spontaneously recognised the brand as sponsor of the event. This is particularly important because it fits the longstanding association which Absolut has had with the world of creative and cutting-edge artists”.
Festival Director Roise Goan added, “Absolut has a fantastic track record of participating with the arts and we found a natural synergy in working with them last year. This collaboration enables the Festival to be even more bold, brave and contemporary. I’m excited and looking forward to Absolut Fringe 2010”.
This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Festival which runs from September 11th to the 26th, presenting an eclectic range of art forms encompassing dance, visual arts, installation art, theatre and music in a variety of locations dotted throughout the capital.
