Youth groups urged to apply to Coca-Cola’s €100k Thank You Fund

Critically-acclaimed writer, actor and screenwriter Stefanie Preissner has reminded youth-oriented non-profits and community groups to apply now to the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund. €100,000 in total is up for grabs, and Preissner is urging those with creative project ideas who want to make a difference in their communities to get online at www.coca-cola.ie/thankyou and submit their application before the deadline of Friday, 13 July.

The Coca-Cola Thank You Fund seeks to fund projects that inspire and support young people across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Applications are encouraged for new projects and activities which fall under one or more of the following themes:

• Bridging the divide between education and the workplace
• Fostering diversity and inclusion in youth communities
• Empowering young people to become the leaders of the future
• Youths taking an innovative approach to sustainability in local communities

To submit a project idea, all non-profit organisations have to do is get online at www.coca-cola.ie/thankyou, fill out the application form and submit a short video (maximum 60 seconds) explaining why they think their project deserves to be funded. No high tech video shots required – video clips can be filmed on phones. Groups just need to demonstrate why their project idea deserves the money and that’s it! It really is that easy.

Speaking at the launch Petre Sandru, country manager of Coca-Cola Ireland, said:“Coca-Cola Ireland is delighted to be making €100,000 available in funding for community-based projects that support and inspire young people.”
