ARYZTA Food Solutions Ireland has launched its latest Food to Go Concept – “Build Your Own (BYO) Burger & Pizza”. The concept was introduced in SPAR Gourmet in Baggot Street in Dublin, which is a proven food operator and is a key site within Dublin City Centre with very high footfall and all-day passing trade.

There has been great interest in the new “Build Your Own (BYO) Burger & Pizza” concept from key retailers who are looking to extend their daypart coverage. This concept was developed from consumer research which identified burgers, pizzas and fries as key purchases within the Out of Home environment. It allows retailers to offer these products within a convenience outlet and delivered to a quality level and timeframe consumers expect, along with opportunity to extend the deli offering from lunchtime through to late evening and deliver a greater return from the assets.

The launch was supported with a full marketing campaign through Radio, PR and Digital media. Consumers reaction to the new Concept has been extremely positive with over 1,000 Burgers and Pizzas being “Built” and consumed over the first ten days.

“BYO has been a welcome addition to my store,” said Thomas Ennis, owner of Spar Gourmet. “It offers my customers an extended food offer and is also driving additional footfall into the store through the afternoon and evening.”
