Retail Excellence adds to internal eCommerce Committee

Retail excellence has appointed Paul O'Hea of leading Donegal healthcare retailer Inish Pharmacy to its internal eCommerce Committee, a group conducting planning and strategy for omni-channel performance in Ireland.

Paul O’Hea of Inish Pharmacy has been appointed to Retail Excellence’s eCommerce Committee, with a view to lending his expertise t0 strategic planning for retailers’ omni-channel operations in Ireland.

Retail Excellence’s eCommerce Committee conducts eCommerce training, standards and strategic planning for retailers with an omni-channel operation in Ireland. They maintain a number of partnerships with Google, Facebook, Twitter and eCommerce Europe along with collating monthly data from online sales, promoting the European Trustmark and assisting businesses comply with GDPR.

Speaking about the new appointments, Deputy CEO, Lorraine Higgins said she was delighted at the addition to the committee. “As a leading omni-channel retailer in Ireland, Paul O’Hea will bring key insights from the pharmacy sector which added to his individual skillset, wealth of ability and experience will perfectly complement our existing members,” she said.

“I have no doubt Paul will make a valuable contribution in shaping and developing future plans, direction and policies in tandem with existing members of the Committee.

“We have much planned for the year,” Higgins said, “and in the longer term we aim to resolve the huge issues facing retail. It is testament to the strength of our organisation that we can call on the quality and advice of our eCommerce members to come up with solutions to the challenges facing with us.”

Paul O’Hea also expressed how pleased he was to be appointed. “At Inish Pharmacy we always strive to be progressive,” he said, “and have embraced developments in the world of online retail. The committee includes some of Ireland’s leading online retailers and I am looking forward to learning from and contributing to the group over the coming months.”
