Newstand Castlebar sells winning €500,000 National Lottery ticket

Newstand Castlebar sold a €500,000 National Lottery ticket to a small private family syndicate from Mayo.

The National Lottery has revealed that the top prize of €500,000 in the Daily Millions Draw on Friday, 1 June was sold at Newstand Castlebar, Market Square, Castlebar. The prize was then collected in Lottery headquarters on Wednesday, 6 June.

The winning ticket was a quick pick and it was a small private family syndicate from Mayo, that collected the €500,000. The family have chosen to remain anonymous.

Newstand Castlebar are no strangers to big lottery winners, because they have a great track record of winning customers over the years. They are knowing locally as “Newstand, The Lucky Lotto Shop.” The town is busy with the great news of another win, and well-wishers are calling to congratulate retailers Helen and Michael MacHale on yet another big National Lottery win.

Helen,  Michael and their staff have extended their congratulations to the lucky winners, adding that they hope they enjoy their windfall, and invest it wisely to secure a great future.
