Low-cost franchise Dealz has announced plans to open a second outlet in Killarney, to go along with its store on the town’s Main Street. The new store, on the site of the former Homebase store, is set to open later this month at the Deerpark Retail Park, according to a report by Radio Kerry.

Deepark Retail Park is home to a number of well-known franchises including Boots, Argos and Marks & Spencer. The store will be the chain’s 52nd in Ireland.

This announcement comes not long after the UK retailer – owned by Poundland – opened its 53rd store on Dublin’s Liffey Street. The brand-new 7,000sq ft store, located beside Dublin’s world-famous Ha’penny Bridge, created 35 new jobs.
