Mullins Ice Cream has formed a strategic partnership with Ireland’s only theme park and zoo Tayto Park, as part of an all-Ireland growth plan.

In time for the park’s 2018 reopening this month, Mullins has launched its first ROI-based takeaway ice cream parlour in the centre of Tayto Park, serving 18 flavours of its homemade scoop ice cream along with a toppings bar and takeaway coffee.

Mullins products are also now available throughout other locations in Tayto Park, including the sit-in ‘Scoops and Sprinkles’ area, which specialises in luxurious sundaes made with Mullins ice cream.

One of Northern Ireland’s most popular homemade ice cream brands, Mullins is part of the Dale Farm family.

“Our partnership with Tayto Park marks a significant development for Mullins Ice Cream as we seek to grow the brand on an all-Ireland basis,” said Peter Lynn, sales manager for Mullins Ice Cream.

“Having presence within Tayto Park will give us access to approximately 850,000 visitors in 2018 – a huge opportunity to showcase our product,” he added.

Describing Mullins as “a much-loved vibrant brand, which combines years of expertise in making quality ice cream with innovative new flavours and toppings,” Lynn believes the new partnership with Tayto Park “will prove to be extremely valuable in supporting the growth of our business”.

Confident that Mullins Ice Cream will “really enhance the customer experience”, Shane Swan of Tayto Park said: “We’re set for a thrilling new season with lots of fun attractions such as Ireland’s first ever driving school for kids which opens on March 24 and a new spinning coaster ride, which is set to open in June. We’re glad that Mullins can be part of the excitement.”
