Meath Maxol outlet celebrates Excellence Awards accomplishment
Gerry Dempsey's Maxol in Ballivor, Co. Meath, has won the ‘Excellence in Community Engagement' award at the annual Maxol Excellence Awards, which were announced at the fuel retailer's annual conference at the K Club in Co. Kildare.

The winners of Maxol’s 2017 – 2018 Excellence Awards were revealed at the recent Maxol Conference, which took place at the luxurious the K Club in Co. Kildare. Maxol Ballivor, run by independent dealer Gerry Dempsey, has been honoured in the ‘Excellence in Community Engagement’ category. The Excellence Awards promote and reward excellence across a number of categories throughout the Maxol network of 231 service stations across Ireland.
“Winning this award and a place on the Maxol incentive trip this year is very exciting,” Dempsey said of his win. “At Maxol Ballivor, we aim to exceed our customers’ needs and expectations, and we achieve this with the Maxol way of doing things, and with our dedicated team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my staff for their hard work and commitment.”
The Maxol Excellence Awards are presented based on merit in the following categories; Customer Experience, Best Standards, Community Engagement, and Store of the Year. Top performing licensees and dealers are awarded in each category, and those achieving excellence across all the categories are recognised as Store of the Year.
Congratulating Gerry and Bernie Dempsey, regional manager of the Maxol Group, Dermot Cogan noted that they had accomplished the highest standards of community engagement. “The Dempseys put their customers’ satisfaction first,” Cogan said, “and go that extra mile to make every visit a memorable experience.
