Maxol M3 Mulhuddart Services in Dublin has featured at a national US trade show in the US celebrating exceptional convenience retailers.

The forecourt was included as part of Ideas 2 Go, part of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) annual show in Atlanta, Georgia.

NACS visited the forecourt – which was recently named Ireland’s best forecourt at the Irish Forecourt and Convenience Retailer Awards – earlier  this year. The group was met by CEO Brian Donaldson and Maxol’s company directors and given a tour of the €6m facilities, which opened in April to become the largest station in Maxol’s portfolio. Since then, the business has taken off, serving an average of 30,000 customers per week.

Speaking about the feature, Maxol’s CEO, Brian Donaldson, said it is a privilege for Maxol M3 Mulhuddart to feature as part of NACS’ international programme. “It’s something we are very proud of today,” he said, “considering more than 20,000 attendees from 60 countries attend the event.

“A lot of hard work went into establishing a unique service station that offers our customers a wide range of convenient food offerings in modern and attractive surroundings,” Donaldson added.

Established in 1994, Ideas 2 Go provided a video tours of interesting, creative and potentially profitable ideas in the global convenience and fuel retailing industry. It showcases emerging concepts that redefine convenience—as well as quick takeaways that retailers might implement at their own stores.
