Maxol’s forecourt and convenience retail offering received an Honourable Mention at the International Convenience Retailer of the Year category at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Awards in London.

Maxol M3 Mulhuddart Services was chosen by the judges to receive the accolade as a Large Format store, which the company says signifies its progression as a retail offering over the last two years.

At the NACS Insight European Convenience Retail Awards, held at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, judges said that Maxol’s state-of-the-art M3 Mulhuddart Services is an example of convenience retailing at its best, awarding it an Honourable Mention.

“We consider it a real honour and achievement to gain recognition from NACS,” said Brian Donaldson, CEO of the Maxol Group. “It is the organisation that sets the world standard in convenience store retailing. At Maxol, we work hard to bring consumers the choice and quality they want and deserve. This tribute, from such an esteemed panel of experts, gives us and our independent retailers real encouragement that we have made significant progress in creating a best in class retail experience for our customers.”

Donaldson extended his thanks to M3 Mulhuddart licensees Donal & Liam Fitzpatrick and all of their staff.

Since 2009, the NACS Insight International Convenience Retailer of the Year Award has recognised excellence in convenience and forecourt retailing on an international stage and celebrates the best convenience retail formats from around the world. Retailers are judged across key criteria including format innovation, range, people development, customer service initiatives, corporate social responsibility, technology and results.
