Keogh’s Farm has introduced the brand new Atlantic Sea Salt & Irish Cider Vinegar Multipack and Dubliner Irish Cheese & Onion Multipack (RRP: €3.99), each containing six individual bags of consumers’ favourite flavour crisps. The new additions join the Keogh’s Farm Favourite’s Variety Multipack which launched in 2015 and has since become one of the brand’s best-selling products.

As with all Keogh’s produce, the new multipacks contain only the highest quality and tastiest crisps, hand-cooked on the family farm in North County Dublin using ingredients from all Irish suppliers. These include Dubliner Irish Cheese from Carbury, Co. Cork and Llewellyn’s Irish Cider Vinegar from Lusk, Co. Dublin, and Irish Atlantic Sea Salt. All Keogh’s products are certified gluten-free.

Outstanding achievement award for Nolan’s of Kilcullen at global food fair

James Nolan of butchers Nolan’s of Kilcullen recently accepted the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Global food fair, IFFA. Held in Frankfurt, Germany, Nolan’s of Kilcullen, a fourth generation family business, actually scooped five gold medals at The World Cup Craft Butcher Finals, held at the fair. Nolan’s of Kilcullen also won the award for the Champion of Champions – Best Butchers Shop in the UK & Ireland at the House of Lords, London in 2015.

Junior Entrepreneur Programme inspires young minds

Founded in 2010, the Junior Entrepreneur Programme is a 10 – 16 week entrepreneurial education programme for primary school pupils. As a partner of the programme, Nightline CEO, John Tuohy recently spoke to students in Dublin primary schools to help give the children inspiration and a taste of what it is to be an entrepreneur. Established in 1992, Nightline is Ireland’s largest independent parcel delivery business, employing 800 people and celebrating 24 years in business this year.

Dealz celebrates World Baking Day 

World Baking Day was on Tuesday, 17 May and Dealz was busy encouraging consumers so get their chefs whites on and whisk up a storm in the kitchen with Dealz Jane Asher baking range. All products are priced at just €1.50 each and Dealz says the range has everything to ensure shoppers are covered for all of their summer baking needs, with colourful baking utensils sure to brighten up kitchens.

IT Tallaght students get creative with OOH brief

Kinetic, the out of home (OOH) media planning and buying agency, has teamed up with IT Tallaght to task third year Marketing and Advertising students to create an OOH advertising campaign. Working alongside media agency MEC and General Mills, the global manufacturer of branded consumer foods, students were asked to devise an OOH campaign for Nature Valley. Following presentations to a judging panel on Thursday, 5 May, the winning team was announced as Bebhinn Maguire (Palmerstown), Kellie Kearns (Wicklow), Luke Bennett (Blanchardstown), and Simon Kelly (Balbriggan).

S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016: Ireland and UK’s 10 semi-finalists announced on FineDiningLovers.com

Following the closing of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 registration on 7 April, ten semi-finalists from each of the 20 regions across the world have been selected from thousands of applications submitted to FineDiningLovers.com. Young chefs from more than 90 different countries submitted their applications together with their signature dishes, in a bid to compete. Sparkling water, S.Pellegrino created the programme to reaffirm its commitment to the promotion of emerging talents and to enhancing and diffusing fine dining culture throughout the world.
