Avonmore launches Caramel Whipped Cream, just in time for Christmas

Avonmore has taken its freshly whipped cream and infused it with ‘Christmas Caramel’ to bring consumers a new festive flavour – Avonmore Caramel Whipped Cream (RRSP: €2.39). Already whipped and ready to serve from the fridge, it’s the perfect accompaniment to festive favourites such as mince pies and Christmas pudding and hot drinks. The wider Avonmore Cream range includes other festive favourites, such as Brandy Cream and Baileys Cream.

Make it a crafty crispmas with Keogh’s Farm

Winner of the Smithwick’s Homebrew Challenge revealed

Brewing duo Brian Mooney and Stephen Ryan, from Celbridge, Co Kildare, have been named the winners of the inaugural Smithwick’s Homebrew Challenge with their brew ‘Old Town Christmas Ale’. The ale will now be available to the public in the Open Gate Brewery at St James’s Gate for a limited time. With over 70 entrants nationwide, ‘Old Town Christmas Ale’ was sampled against runner-up, Sebastian Kondol’s ‘Apple Pie Ale’ in a national taste test across ten pubs, before being crowned the winner.

Fyffes continues its support for Dundalk FC

Banana-importer Fyffes has announced it will continue its sponsorship of SSE Airtricity League of Ireland and FAI Cup champions Dundalk FC for the forthcoming 2016 season. Speaking at the announcement, Fyffes managing director for Ireland, Gerry Cunningham said: “We are proud to continue our partnership and to give fans the security of knowing that Dundalk FC will kick off their new season on a high note, backed by all the support our company can give”.

The Jameson Experience Midleton (JEM) has won the ‘Ultimate Ambassador Award’ at the second annual #CorkNeedsYou Cork Conference Ambassadors Awards, organised by the Cork Convention Bureau. The prestigious ceremony paid special tribute to the JEM for its contribution to Cork tourism, having welcomed 125,000 visitors to the visitor centre in the past year. This shows a 5% increase in figures from 2014.
