Emmerdale star ‘Hopes’ to hit the ground running at the Spar Great Ireland Run 2015

The Spar Great Ireland Run 2015 – which will take place on Saturday, 11 April in the Phoenix Park, Dublin – was launched by Tony Audenshaw who plays Bob Hope in Emmerdale, Jenny Dixon, who plays Kerri-Ann in Fair City and Irish model, Roz Purcell. They will run the 10k event on behalf of their respective charities, joining thousands of other runners and their families in what is both a highlight of the athletics calendar and a great family day out. The Spar Great Ireland Run challenges runners of all abilities and ambitions from the 10k race, to the Spar Mini Run and Junior Run.

Fyffes renews Dundalk FC sponsorship

Dundalk-based banana importer Fyffes has announced it will continue its sponsorship of SSE Airtricity League champions Dundalk FC for the forthcoming 2015 season. The company said it looks forward to working with the team in 2015, “as part of our continued commitment to promoting healthy eating and an active lifestyle across all age groups”.

Over 40,000 enjoy Red Bull Crashed Ice Belfast

Over 40,000 spectators came from across Ireland and further afield to Stormont Estate, over two days to watch some of the world’s best skaters take part in the Belfast leg of the Red Bull Crashed Ice. Over 140 competitors took part in the action-packed race on a heart-pumping assault course that has been specifically designed for Belfast. Winner, Scott Croxall won all five of his races.
